The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for acquiring new customers for Learning Without Tears by uncovering academic needs. This includes teacher professional learning and aligning those needs with products and services in smaller K-5 schools districts, as well as private and parochial schools in a defined geographic territory.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Generate new revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, from small school districts and private elementary and PreK schools throughout the US.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing product information and explanations, and preparing quotes.
  • Close new accounts by prospecting via phone, email, and digital demos.
  • Develop accounts by company's data analysis of best prospects based on a company profile.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to record all client history, activities, and communication and quotes.
  • Update job and product knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in education, business, sales, or other related fields
  • 1+ years of experience in education and/or sales or customer service role
  • Experiencing achieving sales goals, managing a book of business, expanding the client base, and prospecting and closing sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong passion for exceeding customer expectations
  • Understanding of the K-5 education market
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once while completing quality work on a timely basis in a fast paced, goal-oriented work environment
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Experience with CRM tools, web-based presentation tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
